Direct Hair Implantation Body Hair Transplant
The concept of using the Direct Hair Implantation technique to transplant body hair was developed by the DHI research and development team and Professor J.C. Kim of Seoul University in Korea. The use of the D.H.I. technique in this application has been repeatedly been successful in restoring scalp hair by transplanting healthy hair follicles from another part of the body, such as an armpit or the chest. This hair restoration procedure has enabled us to alter the telogen cycle of body hair resulting in better and faster growth at the recipient site.
Body hair has a different growth cycle than scalp hair. Scalp hair has been shown to be in the anagen growth phase 90% of the time while body hair is only in an anagen growth phase 30 to 50% of the time.
